A native of Slovakia where she was a member of the Junior National tennis team, Lucy Kovalova came to the United States to play collegiate tennis for Wichita State University in Kansas. In 2015, she made the switch from tennis to pickleball and immediately became a top player in the sport. She is not only known for her tightly controlled persona on-court, but also being one of the most outgoing pickleball pro off-court. 

Currently, Lucy Kovalova is one of the best women’s professional pickleball players in the game. When she’s not playing pickleball on tour with the PPA, she enjoys fashion/shopping, watching movies and TV shows, and spending time with family and friends. Fun fact; Lucy’s given Slovakian name is actually Lucia, but she prefers to go by the American equivalent, Lucy. 

Her favorite sitcoms are Two and a Half Men, Friends and Modern Family. Her favorite shows are Succession, F1: Drive to Survive and Scandal. One thing Lucy can’t survive without is her phone (and charger, of course).
